| | Shared Line - Shared Line on Cisco CallManager | | A "shared line" is a phone number which is used on two or more IP phones at the same time. By using "shared lines" it is possible to reach a person at different phones without doing any login/logout or using different phone numbers.
You have to be aware that in the case of a missed call, this missed call will be seen on all phones of the shared line. Especially if you are using multiple IP phones attached to the same shared line this can lead to some misunderstanding.
Shared lines are configured by assigning the same phone number to multiple lines.
